Please join Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention (MCVP), Keene State College and Monadnock Men’s Resource Center for this one-mile walk from Keene State College through downtown Keene to Railroad Square. This will be the second annual Walk-A-Mile In Her Shoes event where men will lead a walk in women’s shoes, followed by women and children, raising community awareness of sexual assault and providing support for the Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention. Last year over 150 men, women and children participated, and we are hoping to double that in 2008. Walk A Mile in Her Shoes was started in California in 2001 and events are held in scores of locations throughout the US to raise awareness and provide support for local crisis centers.
