The Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention, Inc. (formerly Women's Crisis Services) offers a variety of Educational curricula developed in cooperation with regional schools for all grade levels. In 2001, 513 school and community presentations were given to more than 12,844 participants in the Monadnock Region. Our experience has shown us that youngsters who begin as bullies often continue with harassing behavior which easily develops into dating violence and eventually, domestic or sexual violence. The Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention also presents education and awareness programs to community groups, social service agencies, medical personnel, law enforcement, and others interested in learning about domestic and sexual violence. Select from the topics above for more detailed information. All of these topics can be adapted to meet the needs of specific classes and subject areas. We work collaboratively with the classroom teachers or youth leaders to ensure that materials covered and videos used are age appropriate. For additional information, please contact the Education Coordinator at 603-352-3782. |
